From the 5th to the 8th season (which has just finished filming), we are proud to have been part of the Games of Thrones team in Spain. The 7th season was spectacular and we hope that they win many of the prizes which they are nominated for.
In the Season 7 we toured half of Spain with a team of 500 people filming in incredible locations (from the north in the Basque Country the impressive landscape of the Itzurun beach, in the Guipuzcoan municipality of Zumaia, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, in the locality of Biscay of Bermeo.)
In Andalusia we were in fabulous historic buildings, the Santiponce in Itálica (Seville) and the Castle in Almodóvar del Río (Córdoba)
In Extremadura we were in the old town of Cáceres, in the Barruecos natural park and in Castle of Trujillo, a trip around Spain that involved complicated logistics of transport, accommodation and locations. Thanks to our fantastic team it was a great success and once again, we appreciate your dedication and professionalism.
A RECORD EMMY SERIES
We are looking forward to September 17th in Los Angéles to find out how many awards of the 22 nominations Season 7 will take home.
Out of a total of 106 nomination, ‘Game of Thrones’ has won 38 Emmys, the most wins of any series in the history of these awards.
Among its most important recognitions are two Emmys for Best Drama Series (in 2015 and 2016 for seasons 5 and 6). HBO’s fantasy fiction also holds the record for the series with the most Emmy awards in a single year, with 12 statuettes.
