Premiere of the documentary film The Gate: Dawn of the Bahá’i Faith

09/07/2018

In 2017, Fresco Film Services had the honour of being the service company on this project and we wish SPRING GREEN FILM a great success.

With a technical team of 100 people, filming took place over two months in Granada, Almería and Seville, both in historical buildings (Alcazaba de Almería, the Reales Alcázares ..), and ideal natural environs that recreated the setting.  More than 200 extras did an excellent job of replicating the era in which the story takes place.

The Gate: Dawn of Bahá’i Faith recounts the founding in Persia of this new world religion by a prophet known as The Báb. In the mid-nineteenth century, Jews, Christians and Muslims awaited the imminent arrival of a Divine Messenger. In 1844, the message of this new prophet was controversial: asking for unity of the main religions and a different role for women in religion. The concept was threatening to other beliefs and gave rise to persecutions against the practitioners of this faith and its prophet. Today there are over 5 million practitioners of the Bahá’í religion.
