Our Sustainability Director, Esmeralda Ruiz, participated in a roundtable organized as part of the RTVE Institute’s professional training program, where she shared her experience with sustainable film productions carried out in Spain and Portugal. During the roundtable, Esmeralda highlighted the benefits of applying sustainable methodologies in audiovisual production, as well as common mistakes and key lessons learned by Fresco Film over the years.
Since 2018, Fresco Film, a The Mediapro Studio company, has been implementing measures to minimize the environmental impact of its productions. Among the projects that stand out for their commitment to sustainability is the series Kaos, released in August 2024, which has received the prestigious Albert sustainability certification, an internationally recognized standard in the audiovisual industry.
Our sustainability policy focuses not only on environmental concerns but also on social and economic sustainability, ensuring that our projects contribute to the development of local communities where filming takes place, promoting sustainable economic growth.
Esmeralda Ruiz’s participation in this roundtable, along with her interview conducted as part of the RTVE Institute’s training program, underscores Fresco Film’s commitment to promoting best practices and leading the way in implementing sustainable film productions in the audiovisual industry.
