The Spanish Princess

This month we will see the last episode of The Spanish Princess, Fresco Film was the company that organized the 2018 shoot in Spain.

We love the challenge of shooting a historical series! On this occasion we had the honor of shooting in wonderful settings such as the Alhambra in Granada; the Reales Alcázares of Seville and the Natural Park in Almeria: Spectacular locations where maximum respect and care was taken.  All departments, including production and locations, did a fantastic job.

The Spanish Princess is more or less the official culmination of a trilogy that began with The White Princess and The White Queen, all three productions are adapted from Philippa Gregory’s historical novels.

«The Spanish Princess» series recreates the life of Catherine of Aragon, daughter of Isabel I of Castile and Fernando II of Aragon. She was born in Spain in 1485 and died in United Kingdom in 1536. After three years of being promised to the heir to the throne of England Arthur Tudor, they married. He was the eldest son of Henry VII and the older brother of her second husband. Only five months after the wedding, Arthur died and she subsequently married the future Henry VIII, becoming Queen of England from 1509 until 1533, the year in which their marriage was dissolved.

This was a Starz production and we appreciate the confidence they had in Fresco Film.
