For Fresco Film, A Company of The Mediapro Studio, this appointment represents both an honor and a major responsibility: to build upon the progress achieved over the past four years, enhance institutional dialogue, strengthen international studio relationships, and reinforce the sector’s negotiating capacity at a global level.
This new mandate begins with a clear objective: to further consolidate Spain as a competitive, stable, and strategic hub for international audiovisual production.
Welter succeeds Fernando Victoria de Lecea, whose leadership since 2021 has played a pivotal role in strengthening the sector’s institutional framework and reinforcing Spain’s global positioning as a filming destination.
