Fresco Film participated in the “Coproducing and Shooting in Spain” industry day held yesterday at Instituto Cervantes in Prague, joining key representatives from the Czech and Spanish audiovisual sectors to highlight Spain’s strengths as a premier production destination.
The professional session, organised by ICEX Spain Trade & Investment together with the Spanish Embassy in Prague and the Czech Audiovisual Producers’ Association (APA), brought together top industry players to explore new opportunities for collaboration between both markets.
Fresco Film CEO & Executive Producer Peter Welter Soler took part in the central panel discussion, alongside Silvie Michajlová (Film Kolektiv), Radomir Dočekal (Milk & Honey Pictures) and Eduardo Villar (Airmedia360). The conversation focused on international co-productions, production services, and how the two countries can leverage their complementary strengths to attract large-scale shoots.
During the panel, the speakers underlined Spain’s competitive advantages — including its attractive fiscal incentives, highly skilled technicians, internationally recognised studios such as Ciudad de la Luz, and the country’s wide variety of landscapes suitable for all types of productions. The Czech Republic was likewise highlighted for its strong technical expertise, long-standing production tradition and proven track record with international projects.
The event concluded with an industry networking session, allowing participating companies to explore future partnerships in an informal setting. For Fresco Film, it was a valuable opportunity to strengthen ties with leading Czech producers and to continue promoting Spain as a strategic hub for premium audiovisual production.
